The rip currents today are published as moderate risk (Yellow Flag), but we just responded to a call near the Ocean Crest Pier where 3 people in a group were pulled out in a rip current. Fortunately, everyone is fine, but extreme caution must be exercised today.

At 10:15 AM we were dispatched to the area near the Wildlife Ramp for a report of a skydiver who may have landed in the water. We were cancelled as we were leaving the station when all 4 skydivers were accounted for.
