Medical Transport

Oak Island Fire Department requested our assistance transporting a young man off the strand in the 900 block of East Beach Drive due to a medical issue. We responded with truck 4482 and moved the man from the beach to a waiting ambulance.

Swimmer in Distress

A swimmer was reported to be about 150 yards out from the Keziah Beach Access and the caller had lost sight of them. We were cancelled while enroute about a minute later when the swimmer was found safely on the beach.

Swimmer Far Off Beach

We were dispatched the beach near Ocean Crest Pier for a report of a swimmer swimming parallel to the beach, but out past the end of the pier. We determined the person was not in distress. Several local athletes train by swimming far out from the beach.
