Oak Island Fire Department requested our assistance transporting a young man off the strand in the 900 block of East Beach Drive due to a medical issue. We responded with truck 4482 and moved the man from the beach to a waiting ambulance.

A swimmer was reported to be about 150 yards out from the Keziah Beach Access and the caller had lost sight of them. We were cancelled while enroute about a minute later when the swimmer was found safely on the beach.
