Medical Transport at SE 63rd Street Access

We were dispatched for an older gentleman who was found unresponsive on the beach. When we arrived, he was doing much better but still needed to be medically cleared. Oak Island Fire Department assisted us in moving the patient to a waiting Brunswick County EMS ambulance for transport.

Fishing Hook in Foot

Not every call is a water rescue, fortunately! The one this afternoon was for a fishing hook a lady stepped on. A visiting nurse was able to remove the hook and we provided some antiseptic and a bandage. She is back to enjoying her vacation and we needed to wash the truck anyway 🙂
