Attempted Rescue of Deer
A local animal rescue contacted one of our team members about a deer in the ocean near Southeast 32nd Street that was unable to get back to the shore. We assembled a small team of 3 members to attempt to locate and help the deer make it back to safety. We were successful in locating the deer about 200 yards offshore near Southeast 42nd Street and launched our boat from that location. Unfortunately, it was too late for the doe and there was nothing that could be done to save her.
