Car Crash into Davis Canal (Again)
Just before midnight we were dispatched, along with Oak Island Police Department, Oak Island Fire Department, and Brunswick County EMS, for a report of a car that crashed at the end of SW Yacht Drive and ended up in Davis Canal. We were responding with boat 4490 to Blue Water Point Marina when we were cancelled. The driver, the only occupant of the car, swam from the car to a dock where he waited for police to arrive. Once police determined there were no other people in danger, we cancelled our response. The car will be removed by salvage crews soon.
