Investigate Float Offshore
We were dispatched to the beach near 29th Place East for a report of a raft seen offshore. Upon arrival, Oak Island Police Department advised us they were able to see the raft near Ocean Crest Pier and that nobody was on it. We were also stopped enroute by a gentleman on East Beach Drive who advised us it was his raft that had gotten away from him and that nobody was on the raft. Due to water conditions, we decided against launching our boat to remove it from the water. We ended up removing it later in the day.
