Investigate Objects on East Side
We were dispatched, along with Oak Island Fire Department and Oak Island Police Department for a report of something, possibly swimmers, several hundred yards offshore near the Sherill Street access. We quickly determined what was seen was dredging buoys, but always encourage beachgoers to call us anytime they are unsure of what they see. It is always better to be safe than sorry.
