Kayakers In Trouble Near Eastern Channel
Oak Island Water Rescue is responding to an incident on the west end of the island, near the point. Boat 4490 is launching from the Blue Water Point Boat Ramp.

On the above call, the kayakers were able to return to shore on their own. The response alerted Oak Island Police Department, Oak Island Fire Department, Oak Island Water Rescue, Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Marine Patrol, North Carolina Marine Patrol, and the United States Coast Guard. It is impressive to see so many public safety agencies come together to render aid to those in need of assistance.
