Medical Transport
This afternoon Oak Island Water Rescue was dispatched to the beach in the area of 5th Place West to assist Oak Island Fire Department and Oak Island Police Department with transporting an elderly man that was, for a short time, unresponsive. Though he was happy and in good spirits, paramedics advised him that he should be checked out at an area hospital. We transported him to the waiting ambulance in the front seat of our newest 4×4 truck, where he shared some marriage advice with our driver and a paramedic. After being married 72 years, I am sure they will take his advice to heart!
