Oak Island Water Rescue was dispatched to assist Oak Island Fire Department and Oak Island Police Department with a patient needing transport off the beach strand near St. James by the Sea Beach Club due to a medical condition. EMT’s and firefighters were able to assist the patient off the beach on her own and transported her via ambulance for medical care.
