Possible Boat in Distress
Oak Island Water Rescue, Oak Island Police Department, and Oak Island Fire Department were dispatched to the beach in the area on 25th Place West for a report a boat near the shore with occupants waving, seemingly for help. We responded with Boat 4491 and were almost to the scene when we were cancelled by our chief who was already on scene. The boat was not in distress and left the area.
