This fundraiser has ended with a total of $13,964.98 being donated! That is absolutely incredible. We sincerely thank each and every one of you that donated to help us recover from the Hurricane Isaias damages, to make improvements so that we may better weather these storms in the future, and to provide an even higher level of response to the residents and visitors of Oak Island. You have all proven just how #OKIStrong we all are, and your donations, words of encouragement, and show of support is awesome. Oak Island rocks!
During the entire month of September, all monetary donations made to Oak Island Water Rescue will be doubled! A local philanthropist is matching all donations, dollar for dollar, up to $25,000! In the entire history of Oak Island Water Rescue we have never received such a generous offer, and are unbelievably grateful! These funds will be used to recover from Hurricane Isaias damage and to make the station more resilient to future storms and flooding.
