Training on October 15
The ocean is starting to cool and nights are coming earlier each day, so we decided that for this training session we would practice precision boat operations in the waterway. This would mimic approaching a victim in the water and carefully, but quickly, position the boat very near the person, allowing other crew members to pull them into the boat. Instead of using an actual live human, which is potentially dangerous, we used beach balls partially filled with water to represent our victim. We took all 3 boats and trucks to the boat launch on NE 55th for this exercise and had a lot of fun.
